A facelift (technically known as rhytidectomy) can't stop this aging process. What it can do is "set back the clock," improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping.

# A man or a woman whose face and neck have begun to sag but whose skin still has some elasticity.

# Whose patients bone structure is strong and well defined.

# Most patients are in their forties to sixties. But a face lift can be done successfully on people in their seventies or eighties.

# A face lift can make you look younger and fresher and may enhance your self confidence in the process. But it can"t give you a totally different look, nor can it restore the vitality of your youth.

With aging, or in those exposed to large amounts of sun or stress, wrinkled, creased skin can develop on the face, neck or forehead, along with fat deposits and folds around the jaws and jowls. While a facelift can't stop the aging process, in many cases it can "turn back the clock." More patients are choosing to have facelifts at a younger age then ever before.

I feel rhytidectomy surgeries are very important to one's self-esteem. It can make you feel years and years younger.

Vaginal Rejuvenation is frequently requested after a woman has given birth. Often with normal vaginal deliveries the vagina is torn and never regains its original tone. With Vaginal rejuvenation the vaginal muscles are tightened and the area can be made tighter than the original orifice. Scarring is internal and not visible and the procedure is safe and reliable.

Dr. Benjamin Chu in Hawaii can help you to achieve your goals. He specializes in procedures relating to vaginal rejuvenation including procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, nose jobs, ear pinning, liposuction, and tummy tucks. Rhytidectomy or more commonly known as a face lift, is a surgical procedure used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the face. This procedure can correct deep creases that may form between the nose and mouth, a sagging jaw line, or folds around the neck. This is done by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and the skin of your face and neck.

Are you a candidate for a face lift?
The best candidates for this procedure are men and women whose face and neck have begun to sag but who still have some elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well-defined. A face lift can make you look younger and may enhance your self-confidence.

What are my risks?
With any operation, there are associated risks. Complications associated with a face lift are hematoman or blood clot formation, injury to the nerves that control the facial muscles, infection, or reactions to anesthesia. Smoking can result in a slower postoperative healing time.

The vast majority of men and women do not experience any of these complications. You need to discuss these issues with Dr. Windle prior to your surgery to be sure you completely understand the basic risks along with any other special risks that may be involved.

Contrary to popular belief, a tight face is not synonymous with a young face. Indeed, outdated procedures that simply tighten or lift the skin often result in patient disappointment and frustration.Today, facial rejuvenation surgery entails much more than simply cutting excess or loose skin. With the help of a qualified plastic surgeon, successful facial rejuvenation surgery can result in a youthful natural appearance.

Choosing A Plastic Surgeon
Successful plastic surgery depends on a surgeon with proper experience, technical skill, aesthetic vision and innate talent. For this reason, choosing a proficient plastic surgeon is the top priority when considering any cosmetic procedure. Initially, patients should obtain referrals from their family physician, relatives, friends and/or other acquaintances in appropriate social settings.

Patients should consult with multiple--at least two or three--board-certified plastic surgeons certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ensuring satisfactory certification is just the start, however. Ultimately, you will want to choose a surgeon with an excellent reputation for producing successful results each and every time.

Patients should also ask to see multiple photographs of a surgeon's previous work. Likewise, patients should feel free to bring old photographs of themselves that reflect an idea of their expectations. While nothing is guaranteed, the surgical expectations of a particular patient are often clarified through old photographs. Combined with the surgeon's aesthetic talent and trained eye, old photographs serve as the foundation for a youthful outcome.

The chemical peel is a widely accepted procedure to eradicate fine wrinkles in the skin. The procedure can be performed alone or at a later date after face lift or eyelid surgery.

Patients with fair complexions are better candidates as the chemical peel can remove pigment from the skin creating a line of demarcation between treated and untreated skin in patients with darker complexions.

The chemical peel creates a raw surface which heals in approximately ten days. Once healed, makeup can be applied. The peeled skin is initially red and rapidly fades to pink. This pink color may last for several months. Care must be taken to protect this skin from sun exposure by using a sun screen for at least six months.

Light chemical peels can be performed in the office. Deeper or full face peels are performed on an outpatient basis in a surgical center.

A forehead lift addresses the area of the upper face. It restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area, making you look less tired, angry, or sad, by correcting drooping brows and improving the horizontal lines on your forehead. It is frequently performed with an upper lid blepharoplasty and can be performed with a face lift to provide facial balance and harmony.

The goal of the procedure is to raise the brow to a more aesthetically appealing position. It will also improve fullness over the outside corner of the lid, a scowling appearance of the eyes and horizontal frown lines of the forehead. It is not intended to create a look of surprise or what is commonly called the "deer in the headlights" look. Botox is not a substitute for a forehead lift, it can give you an idea of what to expect. Dr. Friedlander will show you potential areas of benefit during your consultation.

Several different approaches may be used, such as an endoscopic approach, a lateral brow and transblepharoplasy approach and rarely a coronal approach. Most often, only small incisions are required. The procedure is often performed with face lift and/or blepharoplasty. There may be some postoperative swelling or bruising, which resolves relatively quickly. You are able to return to work in a week if no other surgery is being performed.

Eyelid surgery (technically called blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove fat--usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. However, it won't remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under your eyes, or lift sagging eyebrows. While it can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial heritage. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or browlift.

If you're considering eyelid surgery, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it's performed, and what results you can expect. It can't answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on the individual patient and the surgeon. Please ask your surgeon about anything you don't understand.

Your New Look
Healing is a gradual process, and your scars may remain slightly pink for six months or more after surgery. Eventually, though, they'll fade to a thin, nearly invisible white line.

On the other hand, the positive results of your eyelid surgery-the more alert and youthful look-will last for years. For many people, these results are permanent.
